An Unexpected Visit in the 1600s — Göteborgs stadsmuseum, Gothenburg

Two colourful figures move through Gothenburg City Museum with playful gestures, accompanied by a philosophical narrator's voice and sounds from nature, animals and machines. An Unexpected Visit is a site-specific performance for children that interacts with the museum's surroundings - a poetic and lively moving installation that sparks curiosity about how we perceive the world around us.

After the performance (20 min), those interested can join a 30-minute workshop where children play with shapes, dance and do physical theatre exercises.

Behind the performance is FiaskoKompaniet, a Swedish-Norwegian performance group led by Maria Strand Renberg and Livia Hiselius. They work with experimental puppet theatre and sound landscapes, engaging a mixed audience.
