Lilla Änggårdslördag: Harvest Time

Lilla Änggårdslördag returns with an autumn theme: harvest time. Throughout the day you can learn more about cultivation and how Lilla Änggården has been and remains part of urban food production. The day is arranged by Gothenburg City Museum in collaboration with the City Environment Administration, Urban Cultivation, and Foodfest Göteborg.

Location: Lilla Änggården, Thorild Wulffsgatan 75 / Hejderidaregatan 15. Please note that the site has limited physical accessibility.

Programme

11.00-15.00: Tasting of Lilla Änggårdens apples

11.45-12.30 and 13.15-14.00: Forest Adventure
In the forest around Lilla Änggården live friendly and hungry forest creatures and other magical beings. Using an old map, we search for treats in the garden to feed the creatures in the forest. Each child decides for themselves how long the activity takes. Recommended age 5-8 years. Free entry, gathering on the courtyard.

12.00-12.45: House Tour
Tour of the Grén family's Lilla Änggården - learn more about the family's and the place's history. Included in the entrance ticket and requires advance booking. Limited accessibility, gathering on the courtyard.

13.00: Tasting from the garden (as long as food lasts)

13.30-13.50: Lilla Änggårdens Colonial History
A tour of the Grén family home based on a diary written by Marie Grén. Together we explore the site's colonial history and hidden stories - what traces of sugar, colonialism and global trade can be found at Lilla Änggården today? Included in the entrance ticket and requires advance booking. Limited accessibility, gathering on the courtyard.

14.00: Garden History Walk
A walk through Lilla Änggårdens green history. Included in the entrance ticket and requires advance booking. Limited physical accessibility. Gathering on the courtyard 15 minutes before start for technical equipment.
