Master Olof and the Word

The church door is locked - and the Bible's word is closed to many. The reformer Olof wants to open both: in 1526 he translates the New Testament into Swedish.

The play weaves scenes from August Strindberg's youthful work Master Olof with newly written scenes about the Word's call today. In autumn 2026, a new translation of the New Testament is also presented.
