SKATE X PUNK X ART: FANZINE WORKSHOP

A fanzine workshop for ages 13-19. The workshop is for girls and trans people only.

Fanzines are handmade booklets and magazines that can be about anything. They began in the 1920s, grew with new copying technology in the 1960s and 1970s, and became important in punk culture during the 1970s and 1980s. In the 1990s they were widely used in feminist and queer movements - and today they continue to evolve and be experimented with in many different ways. During the workshop you will learn to fold fanzines from a single sheet of paper, which can create different page counts.

Comic artist Malin Granroth leads the workshop and demonstrates various folding techniques. No prior experience is needed and all materials are provided. Maximum 15 places - book yours via the link.
