Göteborg Baroque Presents: Aftonsång - Simone Vesis Masterworks

Behind every concert programme lies often extensive research - musicologists uncovering works that have sunk beneath history's layers. One such researcher is Kerala Snyder, who has worked to compile the compositions of Simone Vesis and early on chose Göteborg Baroque as interpreters of his music. This work now results in an upcoming album dedicated to this hitherto little-known Italian composer.

The concert is a preview of the recording, where the ensemble performs its favourite pieces from Vesis's repertoire.

Göteborg Baroque was founded in 2003 by artistic director Magnus Kjellson, who leads the ensemble as a performing conductor at the organ or harpsichord.
