"The Murderer's Son" is a portrait of Tabaré, a man who through music and boxing attempts to leave crime behind and confront the deeply buried trauma of his childhood.

At age three, Tabaré was drawn into the prison world when his father was sentenced to life imprisonment for a double murder and his mother to a long sentence for complicity. The siblings were separated and Tabaré was placed in foster care.

When his father - now working as a therapist - unexpectedly returns, Tabaré is forced to face questions about guilt, responsibility, and the possibility of reconciliation.
