Sjung för mig ARJA! Sa Mikis

The evening at Oscarsteatern is divided into two parts: first a documentary film, then a live concert with Arja Saijonmaa herself on stage.

The documentary "Sjung för mig Arja!" (directed by Marko Talli) chronicles her life and lifelong friendship with Mikis Theodorakis through private home videos and rarely seen archival footage. After 90 minutes on screen, Arja takes the stage with a newly formed orchestra - Greece's two leading bouzouki virtuosos alongside musical elite from Finland and Sweden - for an hour-long concert spanning over 50 years of music.

The entire programme runs approximately three hours, including a 25-minute intermission. Ten percent of every ticket sale goes in full to Doctors Without Borders. The production is backed by Krall Entertainment, Mantaray Film, and Yellow Film & TV.
