Who is a friend and who is an enemy - and who really gets to decide?

On the Nordkalotten in the late 1500s, people live without borders until the Swedish king and Russian tsar force peasant armies to take up arms against each other. Caught in the middle is the teenager Mikko, who dreams of fighting like his father and brothers - but doesn't quite know which people he belongs to.

The production follows Mikko through a time of war and division, where every choice carries a price. It is a story about identity and courage, but also about boundaries and loyalties that still resonate today.
