The Great Power Era's Private Palaces and the People Behind Them

The private palaces of the 17th century hold a unique place in Stockholm's architectural history - neither before nor after have such magnificent buildings been constructed in private hands.

The guided tour explores who the builders and architects were, and what later became of these splendid palaces. The walk passes through Gamla stan and Riddarholmen, past buildings familiar to most Stockholmers, as well as past some lesser-known structures.
