About: Richard Bona

Cameroonian bass virtuoso Richard Bona brings his Asante Trio to the stage - a project rooted in the cross-Atlantic dialogue between African and Cuban music, with pianist Jesus Pupo and drummer Ludwig Afonso. His live sets move fluidly between jazz, funk, and African folk, with vocals in French, English, and his native Douala language.
