The production weaves together two ancient dramas: Aristophanes' comedy Lysistrata, in which Athenian women go on strike for sex and love to stop the war, and Euripides' tragedy The Trojan Women, set in Troy after the Greek victory. Director Anna Pettersson balances comedy with tragedy to portray the nature of war - and above all how it affects women. The performance also includes choral singing.
