Thema Balkanica

The trio Thema Balkanica takes the audience on a musical walk through the Western Balkans and Southeast Europe - a walk that turns into a light jog as the music heats up.

The focus is on sevdalinka, the distinctive musical genre of Bosnia and Herzegovina that is inscribed on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage. To this are added unusual rhythms from North Macedonia, southern Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary.
