Work in progress: Lovisa Mattisson & Ami Skånberg

Two works are shown during their creative process at Atalante - both at different stages of development.

Lovisa Mattisson is working on the solo Drömmar, in which she and sound artist Gustav Lejelind explore the inner landscape of night: how memories are sorted during sleep, how dreams can feel more tangible than waking life, and what lingers when you open your eyes. During the residency, the focus is on scenography and soundscape - building a frame that draws the audience into the dream state rather than viewing it from outside.

Ami Skånberg is preparing What?, a jubilee project marking her 40 years as a stage artist in 2027. The material spans widely: Japanese dance solo, punk, Alf Robertson and a surfboard - fragments from an entire career that she now tests in new combinations. How her intensive workshop with Deborah Hay at Vitlycke in September influences the direction is one of the open questions. Movement, video, music and objects blend together, and humour holds equal weight with seriousness.
