Olga Myko

Olga Myko moves between baroque strings, Ukrainian folk tales, and a Stockholm in constant flux. It is in this collision that her music takes shape - and it is through total surrender to what hurts and chafes that her lyrics become the soundtrack to people's lives.

Music has always been there: the first time she held a violin she was barely three years old, and at four she sat in the front row at a baroque concert at Drottningholm, watching her parents on stage with wide eyes. Taking her own place was still difficult. Olga was withdrawn and content in her bubble - but carried within her an innate desire to tell stories. So she began behind the scenes.

Songwriting born from a broken heart has become something larger. In the forthcoming EP "How dare you tryna love me", we follow her journey toward daring to accept love, through inner conflicts and resistance, arriving at the understanding that you are worthy of being loved.

The music meets harpsichord and synthesizers, dark yet warm pop filtered through childhood memories of Slavic tales and films. Olga Myko goes all the way into herself to reach all the way out to her audience.
