Christmas at Nääs Castle with Christmas Market
gratis
Nääs Castle invites you to Christmas weekends on 28-29 November and 5-6 December, from 11:00 to 16:00.
Christmas Market - In and around the old stable, next to the Café and the Castle Shop, there is a carefully curated selection of craftspeople and food producers. The exhibitors vary between weekends.
Guided Castle Tours - Guided tours of the castle offer insight into Nääs history and Christmas traditions of the past, with a historically decorated Christmas tree in the hall as one of the highlights. Limited number of tickets - advance purchase, see right column.
Glögg in the Castle Kitchen - In the historic castle kitchen, the castle's maids and servants serve glögg from 11:00 to 16:00.
The Café - In the café next to the castle, rice porridge, Christmas sandwiches and Christmas coffee are served from 11:00 to 16:00. The food and baked goods draw inspiration from what would have been served at Nääs in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Castle Shop - In the old grain store next to the castle, both new nostalgic items and selected antique objects are sold from 11:00 to 16:00.
Horse and Carriage - Rides in a horse-drawn carriage through the castle grounds from 12:00 to 15:00.
Folk Christmas Music - Nääs Christmas Choir performs folk Christmas music and period-appropriate songs.
Dancing Around the Tree - Dancing around the Christmas tree on the castle square for both children and adults.
Christmas Adventure for the Whole Family (from 11:00 to 15:00) - Children and adults search together for Christmas sacks around the castle and find Father Christmas, who hands out gifts. The Christmas Goat may also appear. A map is purchased at the Castle Shop and includes a gift from Father Christmas.
Organizers: August Abrahamson Foundation / Nääs Castle, in collaboration with the Nääs Society and partner organizations.
