We Are Mammals

We Are Mammals explores what it means to be a little on the sidelines - charming everyday situations with spaghetti under socks and fish sticks in lunch boxes, juggling small children, teenagers and a career while wanting a functioning adult life. About relationships that creak, about aging in the middle of life and watching your parents grow old and die. About the raw and unpolished, and about the mystique of everyday life - spaces that suddenly open up.

The production is based on Annika Norlin's musical universe, dramatized for the theatre stage for the first time. Ada Berger has written the script based on Norlin's song lyrics, and her honest, comic and revealing texts are now performed on stage. The production is directed by Johanna Salander, artistic director of Västerbottensteatern, with sound design and musical arrangements by Ann-Sofie Lundin/ANSO Min stora sorg.
