September Sessions 2026

September Sessions is a four-day festival that showcases the diversity of Stockholm's independent art scene and serves as a platform for independent curators. Each edition is built on a specially curated programme by an invited curator, who activates the city through projects at various locations.

This year's curated programme revolves around emotions, teenage melancholy and late-evening atmospheres - where intensity, irony and quiet despair meet. It dwells in the unstable blend of not taking things too seriously, while everything feels overwhelming. Vampires and zombies move through the programme alongside more ethereal presences that soften the edges and hold together fear, humour, pleasure and lingering melancholy.
