Carl Orff: Carmina Burana is performed on Sunday, 18 October 2026 at 15:30 in Carl Johans kyrka in Göteborg. Vox Carl Johan presents this classical composition alongside the Brunnsbo Musikklassers Gosskör, soloists and musicians. Carl Johans kyrka is a neo-Gothic brick church in the Majorna district, consecrated in 1880 and distinguished by its tall tower and red brick facade. Architect Adrian Crispin Peterson designed the building, which provides an impressive setting for this performance. The soloists are Linnéa Hesselstrand (soprano), Arvid Emilsson (tenor) and Mats Persson (bass), while conductors Patrik Wirefeldt and David Molin lead the choirs. Two pianists, Signe Olofsson and Beatrice Vanzo, together with a large percussion ensemble complete the ensemble. Vox Carl Johan will also perform Carmina Burana at a second concert programme later in the season.
