Cinema: Arkipelag

Alex Schulman makes his directorial debut with Arkipelag, starring Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares and Linus Wahlgren as three fathers accompanying their daughters on a school trip. Stranded on a remote island with a rowdy middle-school class, they must confront their own teenage trauma - and soon face the question of where the line lies between play and dangerous power struggles, and how to tell victims from perpetrators. The film is Sweden's Oscar submission for 2025.
