Police Celebrates 250 Years

The Swedish Police celebrates 250 years with an open event at Gärdet, combining historical perspective with insights into modern policing.

The programme features helicopter demonstrations and tactical unit displays, police horses and dogs, bomb technicians with specialist vehicles and robots, plus modern and historical police cars. Children's activities with police vehicles and the maritime police boat are included, and you can test the tactical unit's challenges yourself.

The Police Museum offers free admission throughout the day. There are also activities about how the police work to increase online safety.
