Art After Dark
Göteborgs konstmuseum, Gothenburg
Art After Dark runs from 18.00 to 22.00 and draws inspiration from the museum's current exhibitions exploring themes of body, expression, and liberation. The Mr P bar in the foyer offers special deals.
Programme:
18.00 Doors open - music and mingling in the foyer.
18.30-19.00 and 20.30-21.00 Guided tour: Body. Ideal, Gaze, Freedom
The exhibition presents historical and contemporary works connected to the body, examining how ideals have shaped and reshaped ideas about the body and beauty. Meet at the exhibition (The Floors).
19.30-20.00 Tour: Evening Pause
A tour where the group pauses at a single artwork to experience how perception shifts when we give art time. You can sit, listen, and look - without doing anything else. Meet in front of Bengt Rindner's Berg med förbidrivande moln och regnskyar, Pollina, floor 6, room 24.
21.00-21.30 Concert: Venus Anon
The evening concludes with a concert in the Sculpture Hall featuring Venus Anon. She has established herself on the Swedish music scene with a sound blending R&B, pop, indie, and electronic production, shaped by Stockholm's underground and queer scene. In 2023 she released the mixtape Venus Nocturnal, leading to performances at Way Out West and By:Larm, among others. In 2024 came a Grammi nomination for Soul/RnB of the Year and a sold-out show in London. The concert is part of the Large Rooms Tour 2026, organized with In This Dunya and Luger - a three-stop tour: Skissernas Museum in Lund, Göteborgs konstmuseum, and Fotografiska in Stockholm. The tour coincides with the new EP Will You Allow It?, released 25 September.
22.00 Doors close.
