About the venue

Ulriksdals Slottsteater, known as Confidencen, is one of the best-preserved Baroque court theatres in Europe, dating from the 18th century. Set in the grounds of Ulriksdals Palace in Solna, it still functions as a working venue for opera, theatre and music during the summer season. The theatre was commissioned by Queen Lovisa Ulrika and retains its original interior and period stage machinery.
