Spira is Jönköping's regional theatre and cultural centre, opened in 2011 on the shore of Lake Munksjön. Teatersalongen is the main auditorium, seating just over 500, and hosts musicals, dance, drama and concerts. The building was designed by Wingårdhs and is widely regarded as one of Sweden's most notable cultural buildings of the 2000s.
