About the venue

Vadstena Castle is a 16th-century Renaissance fortress on the eastern shore of Lake Vättern, built on the orders of Gustav Vasa. It served as a state prison for centuries and is now one of Sweden's best-preserved Renaissance castles. The castle hosts concerts, opera performances and cultural events, mainly during summer.
