Alan Walker (born 24 August 1997 in Northampton, England) is a British-Norwegian DJ and record producer who grew up in Bergen, Norway. He broke through globally in 2015 with "Faded", which topped year-end charts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden and has since surpassed 3.6 billion YouTube views - the first EDM track ever to reach 3 billion. Performing in a hoodie and mask, he has built one of electronic music's largest fanbases, holding the title of most-followed EDM artist on Spotify with over 41 million followers.
