Ana Roxanne (born Ana Roxanne Recto, April 1, 1987) is an American ambient and experimental musician of Filipino descent, raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Drawing on choral music, Hindustani singing, jazz and analog synthesis, she builds slow, layered soundscapes that explore identity, gender and spirituality. Her 2020 Kranky debut Because of a Flower brought her wide critical recognition, and her 2026 follow-up Poem 1 marked a shift toward more exposed, vocal-led songwriting.
Ana Roxanne released her second full-length album Poem 1 on Kranky on May 1, 2026, to positive critical reception including an 86 score from Pitchfork.
Pitchfork described Poem 1 as "a tremendous leap in scale, a quiet conjuring of vast, prayerlike yearning" and awarded it 86 points.
Ana Roxanne and DJ Python released the self-titled debut LP of their collaborative project Natural Wonder Beauty Concept on Mexican Summer on July 14, 2023.
