Auður Magnúsdóttir is an associate professor of history at the University of Gothenburg, specialising in gender, sexuality and power in medieval Scandinavia. Her research draws on Icelandic sagas and historical sources to examine women's lives and social relations in the Viking Age and early Middle Ages.
