Bob Dylan (born Robert Allen Zimmerman, May 24, 1941, in Duluth, Minnesota) is an American singer-songwriter and poet whose work has reshaped popular music since the early 1960s. Albums such as Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks established him as a central figure in rock and folk, while his literary influence was recognised with the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016. His early career was brought to the screen in the 2024 film A Complete Unknown, directed by James Mangold and starring Timothée Chalamet, which earned eight Oscar nominations.
Dylan is headlining a new summer 2026 US tour, accompanied by Lucinda Williams and X's John Doe, with dates running through at least late July.
Dylan's long-running Rough and Rowdy Ways World Wide Tour concluded in Abilene, Texas on May 1, 2026, after beginning in Milwaukee in November 2021.
Dylan was reported to have spent two days recording at White Lake Studios in Albany, New York, in August 2025, with members of his band.
Barbra Streisand released a duet album in June 2025 that included a long-anticipated collaboration with Dylan.
The biopic A Complete Unknown, nominated for eight Oscars including Best Picture, went home without any awards at the March 2025 ceremony.
