Current Joys is the solo project of Nick Rattigan, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Reno, Nevada, who also drums and sings in the surf rock duo Surf Curse. Working across lo-fi indie rock, post-punk and bedroom pop, Rattigan built a devoted following through a prolific run of Bandcamp releases before the 2018 album A Different Age brought him wider recognition. He records on Secretly Canadian and has quietly sold out venues from Los Angeles to Paris, accumulating over a billion combined streams along the way.
Current Joys released East My Love, a country-tinged 12-track album on Secretly Canadian, recorded with producer Andrew Sarlo.
Rattigan released LOVE + POP Pt. 2, the sequel to his 2023 experimental pop double record that featured collaborators including Lil Yachty and Lala Lala.
Current Joys is playing Way Out West festival in Gothenburg, Sweden on August 15, 2026, as part of a broader European run.
A headline show at The Academy in Dublin is scheduled for August 27, 2026, with further dates in Bristol, London, Glasgow, Manchester and Paris.
