Europe is a Swedish hard rock band from Upplands Väsby, formed in 1979 by vocalist Joey Tempest and guitarist John Norum. Their 1986 album 'The Final Countdown' sold over 15 million copies and sent the title track to number one in 25 countries, making them one of the biggest rock acts of the decade. After splitting in 1992 the original five-piece reunited in 2003 and has kept recording and touring ever since, picking up a Swedish Grammis along the way.
