Formed in 1979 outside Stockholm, Europe turned a synth-driven anthem into one of rock's most recognisable songs when 'The Final Countdown' hit number one across 25 countries in 1986. The classic lineup - Joey Tempest, John Norum, John Levén, Mic Michaeli and Ian Haugland - has stayed intact since the 2003 reunion and shows no sign of slowing down.
