Glenn Kaiser Band (GKB) is a Chicago-based Christian blues-rock trio led by Glenn Kaiser (born 1953), who first gained wide recognition as the frontman and primary songwriter of Resurrection Band - a pioneering Christian rock act active from the early 1970s until 2000. GKB features Kaiser on electric and slide guitar, harmonica and vocals, Roy Montroy (a former Resurrection Band member) on bass, and Ed Bialach on drums. The band plays raw, improvisational blues rock rooted in Kaiser's decades of experience and his ongoing work with the Jesus People USA community in Chicago.
Glenn Kaiser released 'Swamp Gas Messiahs', an 18-track solo album on Grrr Records featuring Kaiser on approximately a dozen instruments including cigarbox guitar, dobro and diddley bow.
