Immortal Technique (born Felipe Andres Coronel, February 19, 1978, in Lima, Peru) is a Harlem-raised rapper and activist who has remained strictly independent throughout his career. His albums - above all Revolutionary Vol. 2 (2003) - established him as a central figure in political underground hip-hop, with lyrics tackling imperialism, class hierarchy and institutional racism. Beyond music, he used proceeds from his 2008 album The 3rd World to fund an orphanage in Afghanistan, and in 2020 founded the Rebel Army Runs charity to support elderly communities across the US.
A February 2026 feature confirmed Immortal Technique was still touring tracks intended for his long-awaited fourth album The Middle Passage, described as covering modern-day slavery, totalitarianism and corporate greed.
