Khalid (born Khalid Donnel Robinson, 1998, Fort Stewart, Georgia) is an American R&B and pop singer-songwriter who grew up in El Paso, Texas. He broke through in 2017 with his debut album American Teen - recorded while still in high school - and has since earned seven Grammy nominations and over 50 billion streams across all platforms. His fourth album, after the sun goes down (2025), marked a personal and artistic turning point.
