Laidback Luke
Dutch electronic music pioneer Laidback Luke takes over Biblioteket Live in Stockholm for a night of dance music.
Laidback Luke (Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen, born 22 October 1976 in Manila) is a Filipino-Dutch DJ and producer who grew up in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. He is the founder of Mixmash Records and a key architect of the electro house and Dutch house sound that dominated clubs worldwide in the late 2000s. Beyond his own releases - including collaborations with Swedish House Mafia, Steve Aoki, David Guetta and James Brown - he is widely credited with mentoring a generation of talent including Avicii, Afrojack and Oliver Heldens.
Laidback Luke was featured on the cover of DJ LIFE Magazine (Vol. 6, No. 1) in February 2026, and the CODE/RED World Tour continued into spring 2026 with dates in Las Vegas, Toronto and a debut performance in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In early 2026, Laidback Luke re-signed with Pioneer DJ (under parent company AlphaTheta) as a brand ambassador, reuniting with the company he originally represented during the CDJ-1000 era.
The CODE/RED EP was released on Dim Mak Records in late 2025, compiling singles including a collaboration with James Brown and tracks such as '1000 BPM', 'Gasoline' and 'It Clicked'.
Laidback Luke signed to Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records in 2025, marking a significant creative reinvention after what he described as a decade of creative stagnation.
At Tomorrowland Belgium, Laidback Luke hosted a record-breaking back-to-back set featuring 17 DJs on stage simultaneously.
