Louis Cole is a Los Angeles-based drummer, singer-songwriter and producer whose music sits at the crossroads of jazz, funk and avant-pop. He co-founded the duo KNOWER with Genevieve Artadi and releases solo work on Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label - his 2022 album Quality Over Opinion earned a Grammy nomination, and Thundercat's Grammy-winning record It Is What It Is features a track the two wrote together called 'I Love Louis Cole'. Known for a fiercely DIY approach and viral multi-instrument videos, Cole has steadily expanded his sound from tight funk grooves to full orchestral writing, most recently on the 2024 album nothing with the Metropole Orkest.
