Norwegian indie rock band The Whitest Boy Alive performs at VEGA in Malmö.
The Whitest Boy Alive is a Berlin-based Norwegian-German indie-pop band formed in 2003, fronted by Erlend Øye - also known as one half of Kings of Convenience. Starting out as an electronic dance project, the four-piece gradually shed all programmed elements in favour of a fully live sound that blends minimalist indie pop with funk, disco and jazz-tinged grooves. The band released two albums - Dreams (2006) and Rules (2009) - before going on hiatus in 2014, then reformed in 2019 and has been touring actively since.
The band has upcoming shows in Potsdam and Copenhagen in late August 2026, continuing their active touring schedule.
The band reactivated and announced South American dates, including a headline show in São Paulo and an appearance at Fauna Primavera in Chile alongside Massive Attack and Weezer.
A new album has been hinted at by promoters, with Future Classic noting it 'sounds like there's a new album on the way'.
😴 Nothing scheduled with this artist in the near future.
