concertThe Magic Numbers
The Magic Numbers, the British band with two sibling pairs and four voices, perform at Debaser Strand. From Mercury Prize-nominated debut to new projects - a reunion with a classic indie rock group.
The Magic Numbers are a British indie-pop band formed in 2002, built around two sibling pairs: Romeo and Michele Stodart, and Sean and Angela Gannon. The Stodarts were born in Trinidad, grew up in New York, and eventually settled in west London - a rootless upbringing that feeds directly into the band's warm, harmony-driven sound. Their Mercury Prize-nominated debut (2005) went double platinum in the UK and reached number seven on the albums chart, and they have since released five studio albums in total.
The Magic Numbers performed a 20th-anniversary show at O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on 13 December 2025, playing their debut album in full alongside fan favourites.
The band played a 20th-anniversary tour date at Cyprus Avenue in Cork on 15 July 2025.
The band announced 20th-anniversary shows on sale, including a date at The Project House in Leeds on 10 December.
