About

MARO (born Mariana Brito da Cruz Forjaz Secca, 1994) is a Portuguese singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer from Lisbon. She studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston on a scholarship and built her career in Los Angeles before returning to the international stage - most visibly when she won Portugal's Festival da Canção and finished ninth at Eurovision 2022 in Turin with "Saudade, saudade". Her catalog spans folk, pop and electronic sounds, and she has toured as a band member with Jacob Collier and opened arenas for Shawn Mendes.
