About

Ana Moura (born 1979 in Santarém) is a Portuguese fado singer of Portuguese-Angolan heritage, widely regarded as one of the leading voices of her generation. Her 2012 album Desfado - produced by Larry Klein and certified 6× Platinum - became the best-selling album of the 2010s in Portugal by a local artist, and she has shared stages with Mick Jagger, Prince and Herbie Hancock. Her 2022 album Casa Guilhermina marked a bold creative turn, weaving fado together with Angolan semba and kizomba rhythms drawn from her own family roots.
