About

Napalm Death are an English grindcore band from Meriden, West Midlands, formed in 1981. Their 1987 debut Scum is widely regarded as the founding document of grindcore, and the band has spent four decades at the extreme edge of heavy music - combining blast-beat speed, down-tuned noise and sharply political lyrics. With 16 studio albums and a lineup anchored since the late 1980s by vocalist Barney Greenway, bassist Shane Embury and drummer Danny Herrera, they remain one of the most influential and relentlessly active bands in extreme metal.
