Niklas Strömstedt (born 25 July 1958 in Lund) is a Swedish singer-songwriter who first broke through as the frontman of 1980s pop group Noice, then built a solo career spanning four decades. His 1990 single "Om" reached number one on Svensktoppen, and he co-wrote the Melodifestivalen 1992 winner "I morgon är en annan dag" for Christer Björkman. As part of the trio GES with Orup and Anders Glenmark, he scored the generation-defining hit "När vi gräver guld i USA", which won Grammis for Song of the Year in 1995.
Strömstedt hosted the 43rd Grammisgalan at Annexet in Stockholm, his first time as sole host of Sweden's biggest music awards ceremony.
Strömstedt was awarded the royal medal Litteris et Artibus by the Swedish king for outstanding artistic contributions to Swedish and international music.
The theatrical tour "Tyck OM mig", based on his 2023 autobiography, launched at Maximteatern in Stockholm and went on to play nearly 90 shows across Sweden and into 2026.
Strömstedt announced the nationwide "Tyck OM mig" tour - a hybrid concert and stage show directed by Simon Norrthon, with the script written by Irena Kraus based on his autobiography.
Strömstedt published his autobiography "OM Niklas Strömstedt", which later became the basis for the stage production "Tyck OM mig".
