concertPatti Smith Quartet
Patti Smith Quartet takes the stage for two summer concerts at Cirkus in Stockholm. The legendary artist is known for her groundbreaking album Horses and a career encompassing music, poetry, and social activism.
Patti Smith Quartet is the stripped-back, jazz-leaning formation of American punk poet and rock icon Patti Smith, in which her songs and spoken-word pieces are reworked into intimate acoustic arrangements far removed from the electric charge of her full band. Smith - inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 and winner of the National Book Award for her memoir Just Kids - has been fusing rock and poetry since her landmark 1975 debut Horses, which helped ignite the New York punk movement. The quartet features longtime collaborator Tony Shanahan on bass and keys, her son Jackson Smith on guitar, and British drummer Seb Rochford, known from Sons of Kemet.
Patti Smith Quartet is touring Scandinavia in July 2026, with two nights at Cirkus in Stockholm (Jul 22-23), a show at Veikkaus Arena in Helsinki (Jul 25), and dates in Kristiansand and Bergen.
Smith's memoir Bread of Angels was published on November 4, 2025, described as her most autobiographical book to date.
Smith released a 50th-anniversary reissue of her debut album Horses in October 2025, featuring unreleased tracks and remasters.
An all-star tribute concert 'People Have the Power: A Celebration of Patti Smith' was held at Carnegie Hall on March 26, 2025, with performances by Bruce Springsteen, Michael Stipe, Karen O, and others.
Smith completed a Horses 50th Anniversary tour across the US and Europe in late 2025, performing the album in its entirety.
