Peter Jöback (born 4 June 1971 in Stockholm) is a Swedish singer, actor and musical theatre star whose career spans pop, crossover and the international stage. He broke through in 1995 originating the role of Robert in Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus's Kristina från Duvemåla, and producer Cameron Mackintosh subsequently cast him in Miss Saigon and The Witches of Eastwick in London's West End. Jöback has played the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera on both the West End and Broadway, and most recently portrayed Jean Valjean in Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre in London - a role he then took on the Les Misérables: The Arena Spectacular World Tour. As a recording artist he holds multiple platinum certifications in Sweden and has sold over one million concert tickets across Scandinavia.
Peter Jöback and Ola Salo launched their joint arena tour 'A Show Extravaganza - Salo & Jöback', premiering on 9 October 2025 across Swedish arenas including Gothenburg, Stockholm, Örebro, Malmö and Helsingborg.
Jöback's single 'The Spectrum of Love' served as the official theme song of Stockholm Pride 2025.
Jöback participated in the fifth season of Masked Singer Sverige on TV4, performing as 'Racingräven' (Racing Fox) and finishing second in the final.
Jöback released his 14th studio album Atlas on 12 April 2024, produced by Ed Harcourt and co-written with Harcourt and Kathryn Williams, featuring collaborations with Sophie Ellis-Bextor among others.
Jöback returned to London's West End in February 2024 to play Jean Valjean in Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre, produced by Cameron Mackintosh.
