Pierre Bleuse (born 1977, Boulogne-Billancourt) is a French conductor and violinist who grew up in a family of musicians - his father Marc Bleuse is a composer and his mother Anne Fondeville an opera singer. He trained first as a violinist, winning first prize at the Conservatoire National de Paris, before turning to conducting under Jorma Panula in Finland and Laurent Gay in Geneva. Since 2023 he has served as Music Director of the Ensemble intercontemporain in Paris, one of the world's leading contemporary music ensembles, and has simultaneously held the post of Chief Conductor of the Odense Symphony Orchestra since 2021.
Bleuse opened the 2025/2026 season conducting the Ensemble intercontemporain at the BBC Proms, followed by the Ravel Festival in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the season opening at the Philharmonie de Paris.
The 2025/2026 season marks Bleuse's debuts with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, among other leading ensembles.
The Ligeti double album recorded with the Ensemble intercontemporain was awarded the Diapason d'Or de l'année 2024/2025.
Bleuse conducted the Boulez centenary opening concert at the Philharmonie de Paris, leading a sold-out performance of Répons with the Ensemble intercontemporain.
Bleuse conducted the world premiere of Hector Parra's opera Orgia at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, achieving widespread critical success.
