About

Roland Utbult (born 1951, Öckerö) is a Swedish singer-songwriter and musician who, since his debut album in 1975, has shaped congregational singing and Christian life across Scandinavia. His band Tactus was central to his touring years, and songs such as "Til vår Gud" and "Då ska glädjen bryta fram" became staples of Swedish and Norwegian church music. He has collaborated with Oslo Gospel Choir, Andraé Crouch and Tomas Ledin, among others, and served as a Kristdemokraterna member of the Swedish Riksdag from 2010 until recently.
