About

Sara Parkman is a Swedish folk musician, violinist, singer and composer who has built a reputation for pushing Nordic folk traditions into unexpected territory - weaving sacred hymn structures, experimental electronics and sharp social commentary into a sound that is distinctly her own. Her debut album Sara Parkmans Skog (2016) won Artist of the Year at Folk & Världsmusikgalan, and her 2019 album Vesper earned her a Swedish Grammy nomination and Dagens Nyheter's Culture Prize. She also runs Supertraditional Records, a label she founded in 2019 as a home for experimental folk from the north.
