Instrumental group Snarky Puppy takes the stage at Fållan as part of their SOMNI WORL TOUR 2026.
Snarky Puppy is an American jazz-funk collective founded in 2004 in Denton, Texas by bassist and composer Michael League, originally around the music scene at the University of North Texas. The rotating roster - known as 'the Fam' - can swell to nearly 40 musicians on stage, blending jazz, funk, soul, rock and world music into a sound that resists easy genre labels. The band has won five Grammy Awards and topped Billboard jazz charts repeatedly since 2014.
Snarky Puppy released Somni, their second orchestral collaboration with Metropole Orkest and conductor Jules Buckley, recorded live over three nights in Utrecht in January 2025.
The GroundUP Music Festival crossed the Atlantic for the first time, staging its European debut in Alberobello, Italy, with Snarky Puppy headlining all three nights.
Snarky Puppy launched the Somni World Tour 2026, with European dates running through summer and a North American leg following in autumn.
Keyboardist Shaun Martin, a long-standing member of the collective, died on August 3, 2024, from complications following a stroke.
A remixed, remastered and reimagined edition of the 2014 live album We Like It Here was released digitally and as a limited four-disc vinyl box set.
