concert19:00The Tallest Man on Earth
Swedish folk singer-songwriter The Tallest Man on Earth performs at Gysinge Bruk on 29 July 2026.
The Tallest Man on Earth is the stage name of Kristian Matsson (born 30 April 1983), a Swedish singer-songwriter from Leksand in Dalarna. He began his solo career in 2006 after fronting the indie band Montezumas, and has since released seven albums marked by raw fingerpicking guitar, open tunings, and a gravelly voice that critics have long compared to Bob Dylan. His 2010 album The Wild Hunt brought him international recognition, and his 2023 record Henry St. - the first he made with a full band - extended his reach further.
Matsson released 'Colors', his first new solo single in over three years, and announced a 24-date North American fall tour starting October 15 in Saxapahaw, NC.
The 2026 European summer run includes festival dates in Sweden (Glumserud, Gullabo, Tänndalen) before the North American leg begins in October.
Matsson guested on a single by Swedish singer-songwriter Moonica Mac.
Matsson performed with Amsterdam Sinfonietta and sold out three shows with the Gävle Symphony Orchestra, leading to further orchestral collaborations in 2025.
Henry St., Matsson's sixth studio album and first recorded with a full band, was released on ANTI- Records.
