Thy Art Is Murder is an Australian deathcore band from Blacktown, Sydney, formed in 2006. Drawing equally from death metal and metalcore, they built a global following across six studio albums - from the breakthrough 'Hate' (2012), which made them the first extreme metal act to crack the Australian ARIA Top 40, to the independently released 'Godlike' (2023). Since 2023 the band has been fronted by Tyler Miller, formerly of Aversions Crown.
Thy Art Is Murder headlined the Chaos & Carnage 2026 North American tour, running from Phoenix, AZ through late May.
The band toured Australia in November 2025 with support from Mélancolia, Hate Complex, Melting and Annihilist.
Thy Art Is Murder played a European run supporting Parkway Drive and The Amity Affliction, with additional headline dates in Limerick, Belfast, Dublin, Athens and Istanbul alongside Heriot.
The band released the standalone single 'Through Blood I Purify', the first track to properly launch the Tyler Miller era.
Thy Art Is Murder released 'Summer Movie 2024', a short documentary filmed during their European summer tour promoting 'Godlike'.
